ACCEPT is an evolving Christian based charity whose vision is bringing hope, through friendship.

Welcome

ACCEPT provides the training and resources to enable partners to establish Friendship Groups for individuals who feel isolated due to difficulties with their mental health. Friendship Groups comprise of 6 - 8 members, who meet for an hour and a half on a weekly basis in community settings of their choice, such as pubs and cafés.

Awareness Raising of the Friendship Group Model aims and process.

Benefits to Group Members who meet weekly in community settings such as pubs and cafes.
Community Partnerships between mental health service providers, (including NHS, Social Services and MIND) and churches, to establish Friendship Groups.
Developing Friendship Groups in your area and identifying where groups have already been established.

ACCEPT's partner project Edawu, in Nigeria, West Africa, provides a centre of rehabilitation to those who have become homeless due to mental health problems as well as psychiatric clinics to it's surrounding community.
